AdvaMed Compliance
The Advanced Medical Technology Association ("AdvaMed") is an association of medical and dental device manufacturers that produce the medical and dental technologies that are transforming health care through earlier disease detection, less invasive procedures and more effective treatments. AdvaMed member companies recognize that adherence to high ethical standards and compliance with laws is critical to the success of the leading dental and medical technology manufacturers, like Gendex.
The AdvaMed Code of Ethics clarifies and distinguishes between appropriate and inappropriate activity between health care professionals and representatives of AdvaMed member companies. AdvaMed’s member companies recognize the importance of ethical interactions with health care professionals and the Code sets guidelines to ensure that treatment decisions are based on the best interests of the patient. Gendex strongly upholds the message and spirit of the
AdvaMed’s Code of Ethics.Company Supplier Code of Conduct and Transparency in Supply Chains Act (CA SB 657)
Our
company seeks business partners that share our values, and we expect them to
live up to our standards. We understand that when a business partner fails to
live up to our expectations, they put our reputation at risk. As such, we have
implemented a Supplier Code of Conduct for our suppliers – this Code sets our
requirements for suppliers that we select to do business with.
Also, on January
1, 2012, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 went into
effect in the State of California. This law was designed to increase the amount
of information made available by manufacturers and retailers regarding their
efforts to address the issue of slavery and human trafficking, thereby allowing
consumers to make better, more informed choices regarding the products they buy
and the companies they choose to support.
Slavery and human
trafficking can take many forms, including forced labor, bonded labor,
indentured labor and child labor. Specifically, we have implemented the
following action steps to address the issue of slavery and human trafficking as
well as other potential labor concerns within our supply chain. Our
company and its affiliates expect suppliers to comply with our policies,
regardless of local business practices or social customs.
Auditing
Pursuant to our Supplier Code of Conduct, our company
reserves the right to audit its suppliers – by either internal or external
auditors. Audits would typically be announced prior to being conducted.
Certification
Our company’s
standard terms and conditions require compliance with all applicable laws,
including laws against slavery or human trafficking. Further, we require that
all suppliers complete a Certification Form related to the above.
Training
Our company
provides its managers and employees who have direct responsibility for supply
chain management with training on the Supplier Code of Conduct and the
requirements of SB 657. Our company also provides its suppliers with equivalent
training.
