The system combines state of the art technology with modern functionality. The compact docking station leaves you plenty of room to work around on the counter, or it can even be mounted on a wall or under a counter. The holster can be mounted almost anywhere for your convenience. Each time you pick the handpiece up out of the holster, it automatically opens the Gendex camera software on your computer, saving you time and effort!

What is Firewire technology? Firewire (IEEE 1394A) is one of the fastest data transfer standards ever developed. Originally conceived by Apple Computers for digital video streaming, FireWire® is the de facto industry standard for multimedia peripherals such as digital video cameras. It features simplified cabling, hot plus and play, and unsurpassed image transfer speed.

Digitalizing the camera signal in the Concept® IV FWT docking station and passing it to the cmputer via the FireWire connection eliminates the need for a traditional video capture card that typically degrades the video signal when converting it from analog to digital. The direct-digital FireWire connection delivers the highest level of clarity and picture quality that makes it great for use with the Concept® IV camera.
